Project Overview:

The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals for the scraping and repainting of two sets of railings and steps located at 3519 Witherspoon Blvd, Durham NC 27707. The selected vendor will be responsible for ensuring that the work is completed to high standards of quality and durability.

Scope of Work:

• Preparation:
• Conduct a thorough inspection of the railings and steps to identify areas requiring scraping and repair.
• Remove all loose, flaking, or peeling paint from the surfaces using appropriate scraping tools and techniques.
• Sand the surfaces to ensure a smooth finish and proper adhesion of the new paint.
• Clean all surfaces to remove dust, debris, and contaminants prior to painting.
• Painting:
• Apply a high-quality primer suitable for exterior metal and wood surfaces, ensuring complete coverage.

• Color to be determined in consultation with the project manager.
• Finishing:

• Conduct touch-ups as necessary to achieve a pristine appearance.
• Remove all debris and equipment from the site, leaving the area clean and free of hazards.
