Request for Proposal (RFP) Scope of Work: Tennis Court Resurfacing

Project Overview: The objective of this RFP is to solicit proposals for the resurfacing of two tennis courts located at 1100 Oakbridge Pkwy, Lakeland, FL 33803. The work will include preparation, resurfacing, and finishing activities to ensure the courts meet high standards of playability and safety.

Scope of Work:

• Site Preparation:
• Conduct a thorough cleaning of the existing court surfaces to remove all debris, dirt, and vegetation.
• Inspect the courts for cracks and surface imperfections; fill all identified cracks with a suitable crack filler material that complies with ASTM standards.
• Flooding:
• Flood the courts with water to identify low areas and ensure proper drainage. Mark low spots for further attention.
• Resurfacing:
• Apply 2 coats of a high-quality color material mixed with sand to create a uniform and durable playing surface. The material must meet the specifications outlined by the USTA (United States Tennis Association).
• Ensure that the surface texture is appropriate for tennis play, providing adequate grip without compromising safety.
• Striping:
• Restripe the courts in accordance with USTA standards, including all necessary lines for singles and doubles play. Use a durable paint (White DOT-approved federal spec. latex paint) that is resistant to wear and weather conditions.
• Net Installation:
• Install a new, high-quality tennis net, including all necessary hardware for secure installation. The net must adhere to the specifications of the USTA.

Quality Standards: All work must meet or exceed industry standards and comply with relevant local building codes and regulations. The contractor is responsible for ensuring that all materials used are of high quality and suitable for outdoor tennis court surfaces.

Deliverables:

• A detailed project schedule outlining key milestones and completion dates.
• Documentation of materials used, including product specifications and warranties.
• A final inspection report confirming that all work has been completed to satisfaction.
